Zejm's Super Legend of Wairaka

This is my post about Wairaka writing me and my class did. I did heaps of Writing, you can see all the Writing at the bottom, I really liked the Wairaka Writing because we had to describe Wairaka with these words... Bold, Brave, Positive and showing manaakitanga. Have fun reading my Writing:)
The legend of Wairaka One summer day a waka arrived at a beautiful beach. All the men went to the beach to look for some food for the tribe and to see if it was safe. When the men were searching for the food a huge storm started to appear. The dark stormy grey wind was going to capsize the waka, the women were screaming and the children were crying so badly that the waka floated away.the waka was about to hit the jagged rocks they were about to hit. The big huge juicy floppy raindrops were so annoying they couldn't concentrate on what they were doing. Wairaka had a courageous decision: she had to pick up the paddle or they would be dead so she was brave, mighty and positive. Wairaka Called to her ancestors and yelled KIA WHAKATANE AU I AHAU. She called to her ancestors loudly and bravely, she got the tapu(sacred) paddle and with one mighty push she and her iwi ended up surviving the conflict. You can go to Whakatane and see the statue of wairaka and climb the rock she’s on but you should go at low tide because the water makes it slippery.

Begging:There was a waka that arrived at a beautiful beach after paddling for three month’s. The men got off the waka to see if the beach had food and fresh water for the tribe so they wouldn't stay thirsty and starve. After the men got off the waka the waka started to rock out to the scary big enormous sea.

Problem: Wairaka and her tribe were in a horrible storm that had lightning like glycerin that had been spotted around the sky . The Waka about to hit the jagged rocks and the waka could have drafted to the middle of the sea. Wairaka hadone decision: be brave and use the paddle? Wairaka chose to use the paddle and push them to the surface of the beach. Wairaka had to push them to the surface before they draft out to the mighty and scary sea. Wairaka pushed them to the surface of the beach and they survived the conflict.

The End of the story:Exhausted, Wairaka had to do something and that something was to touch the tapu paddle but the women were not allowed to touch the paddle because it was tapu. So then Wairaka got the paddle and with one mighty push they were safely on the shore. Wairaka and her tribe stayed at the beach and that’s how the town of Whakatane was named. You can go see Wairaka on the rock at Whakatane and you can also climb the rock but maybe not when it is slippery. Wairaka went on for many adventures but those are for another time. Do you know
Wairaka? can't wait to see your  comment's!
